Badgers sign Striker - 11/07/08

Retford United can confirm their second signing of the summer. Former Sheffield FC Striker STUART COPNELL has this evening signed for the Badgers and is expected to be involved in their first pre-season friendly next Tuesday.

Copnell has proved to be a prolific striker throughout his career that has included spells at Worksop Town, Ilkeston Town, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Buxton. He played for Sheffield FC last campaign, scoring against Inter Milan, finishing the season with 12 goals in 33 games, and is expected to carry on his scoring form with his new club.
